Hobby Cure Method (Glass Panel by Glass Panel Assembly)
Tool Required: Standard Heat Gun
Summary: The Hobby Cure Method of Assembly allows you to build your stained glass window glass panel by glass panel, heating as you go. There is no special glass cutting required when using this method.
Cut your NO Days Glaze to length to match the length of metal came you are working with.
Insert the NO Days Glaze into your metal came channel.
Insert your glass piece against the surface of the NO Days Glaze using your typical stop block/horseshoe nail setup.
Heat your glass piece along the length of where the glass meets the metal came for approximately 10 seconds (going back and forth).
When the NO Days Glaze turns from a “dull” to “shiny”, further insert your glass into the NO Days Glaze.
Allow your glass to briefly cool while you move on to your next piece. When finished with your entire stained glass window, solder your joints.
Triple Glaze Design Note: When building a triple glaze stained glass window using NO Days Glaze, we recommend ventilation to allow for consistent air flow and prevent continuous heating of the space between the protective outside glass and inside glass panels. Failure to properly ventilate your window may result in a "greenhouse effect" thus raising the temperature of the enclosed space containing the stained glass window.Ventilation is recommended to control the temperature of the space inside a triple glaze window design.Ventilation of a triple glaze window is an industry standard building technique and ensures longevity of your triple glaze stained glass window. For more information regarding triple glaze design, please contact us at Toll Free at 1-888-989-3832 (US Only) +1-949-369-7676 (International) or e-mail us at
