Silk flowers and leaves

8” length of Aqua Ribbon

18” length of pom pom trim

Craft Iron

Instructions:

  1. Paint the entire canvas with the Pool paint dabber and let dry.
  2. Paint the letter “s” with the Worn Lipstick crackle paint.
  3. To make the image transfer, cut a 6” x 6” piece of GlueFilm and patterned paper.  Place the GlueFilm on the canvas, then lay the patterned paper face down on the GlueFilm.  Use the craft iron to iron the paper to the canvas.
  4. Once the canvas has cooled, wet your fingertips and begin rubbing the paper off of the canvas in a circular motion.  Keep rewetting your fingers and rubbing off the paper, until all that’s left behind on the canvas is the image of the patterned paper.
  5. Cut out the baby image and iron it to the surface of the canvas.  It will adhere right to the GlueFilm transfer!
  6. Cut (4) 1” x 6” strips of the GlueFoil.  Use the punch to emboss and punch a border along one edge of each piece.
  7. Use the craft iron to adhere the foil to each edge of the canvas, overlapping any excess to the back.
  8. Cut 2  1 ½” square pieces of GlueFoil, punch along two edges of each square with the border punch, then trim with scissors to create two decorative corner mounts.  Adhere these to two corners of the baby image using the craft iron.  Highlight the exposed edges of the image with the silver paint dabber.
  9. Make a small bouquet with the silk flowers and leaves, then use the GlueFilm and the heat gun to adhere the flowers to the back of the wooden letter.  Heat the area of the canvas where the wooden letter will be placed, then quickly press the letter into the hot GlueFilm.
  10. Highlight the raised areas of the letter and the edges of the canvas with the silver paint dabber.
  11. Use the rub-on letters to spell out the rest of “Sweet dreams”.
  12. Doodle some flourishes onto the canvas using the Inkssentials white pen.
  13. Drill two holes in the top of the canvas using the Fiskars craft drill and insert the eye screws. Use jump rings to secure the cable chain to the eye screws, then add the pom pom trim, the ribbon and the vintage earring to the chain.
