1. How is NO Days Glaze different from other glazing compounds?

Instead of being a "wet" compound that may be caustic and toxic to work with and handle, NO Days Glaze is inert, dry-to-the touch, safe and non-toxic with no fume byproduct.

2. Do I have to keep re-mixing to achieve the compound consistency I am after?

There is NO mixing required when using NO Days Glaze. "Wet" compounds (putty or cement) always seem to dry out and are rock hard when you want to use them, forcing you to waste time and energy re-mixing again and again. NO Days Glaze is dry-to-the touch due to it's consistent formulation delivered in an pre-formed strip with an indefinite shelf life.

NO Days Glaze is delivered in pre-formed strips sized to a range of metal came channel widths and does not require the use of cans, plastic tubs or solvents. When delivered to you, it is available for immediate use. It is available in 3 colors: Black, Pewter, and Clear.

4. Will the NO Days Glaze throw off the individual or overall dimensions of the stained glass piece I am working on?

NO Days Glaze will NOT throw off the tolerances of your overall window design because when the NO Days Glaze is heated and begins to reflow, the glass is simultaneously inserted into the heated NO Days Glaze creating a Seal and Bond on ALL 3 sides of the metal came and glass surfaces. �

5. How will I know how much NO Days Glaze I need?

That is the easiest part! The NO Days Glaze is already pre-formed for the desired metal came size you are using. You just need to use scissors or nippers to cut the desired length of NO Days Glaze to the length of your metal came and insert into the channel.

7. Why is NO Days Glaze a Better Process for Building a Better Window?

Instead of 10 or 11 steps and the days it takes to cure when using putty or cement, there are just 5 easy steps:

1. Insert the NO Days Glaze into the metal came channel.
2. Place your glass piece against the surface of the NO Days Glaze using your typical horseshoe nail and stop block setup on the other side of your metal came.
3. Apply heat using heat gun where the glass meets the metal came until you see the NO Days Glaze go from a dull to a shiny. This is your indication the NO Days
4. Glaze has reflowed. Please note that NO Days Glaze flows at 160 F / 71 C.
5. While the NO Days Glaze is heated, insert your glass piece into the NO Days Glaze to create a three sided seal and bond.
6. Allow the glass piece to briefly cool while you move on to your next piece.

Using this NO Days Glaze process allows you to glaze and assemble simultaneously. Thus creating a 3 side seal and bond on all sides of the metal came and glass surfaces leaving your with a superior seal and added strength. There is no flipping your window over after you allow one side to cure (using putty or cement) and then glazing the other side of the window and waiting again to cure. NO Days Glaze is a ONE sided window glazing process.

8. It seems like it would take longer if I had to insert and heat while I assemble? Is this true?

NO! If micro-measured, it may take 10% to 15% longer to perform the NO Days Glaze process while assembling your window, however, since there is no forcing the putty or cement between the metal came and glass, no messy clean up after assembly, and no waiting to cure afterwards, you regain each of those minutes 10 to 20 times over, minimum, in building your whole piece. You will actually gain hours and days of time from window to window allowing you to be more productive.

9. How do I handle the NO Days Glaze? Is that Safe? Will my hands get all dirty, dry, and irritated from handling it?

NO Days Glaze is unlike any other putty or cement glazing compound. NO Days Glaze is formulated with inert compounds and is dry-to-the-touch in its normal working state. NO Days Glaze is absolutely safe to handle and will not cause your hands to be dirty, dry, and irritated like putty or cement products.

The NO Days Glaze will be even stronger by its consistent formulation and ability to seal and bond on all 3 sides of the metal came and glass surfaces. Putty and Cement do not "Cement" the glass to the metal came as much as it is "wedged" into the metal came by filling the immediate open space between the glass and metal came. Forcing putty or cement into a nominal space filled mostly by glass only allows you to reach the glass and metal came surfaces located near the immediate entry gap. NO Days Glaze fills ALL sides by inserting it into the metal came channel first versus brushing the putty or cement in last.

From the picture to the right, this work in process window can be picked up to be viewed even without yet having its joints soldered or outer perimeter frame added.

13. Do I still need to solder my joints when complete?

Yes. You should still solder your metal came joints together at the end to add even more reinforcement to your overall stained glass design.
