Thermal test – Double Pane window (Fig 3) Test Purpose: To determine the interior temperature of a double glazed window in a high ambient temperature environment and to see if NDG is affected by the temperature
Test conducted in Phoenix, AZ outside of a test facility and exposed to sunlight at 1:00pm on June 16,2007. Ambient temperature was 110°F
Interior temperature to = 110o F at 1:00pm (initial temp reading) tf = 142o F at 2:20pm (final temp reading Note: Thermocouple disconnected at 142o F and no sign of melt down was observed.

Triple Glaze Design Note: When building a triple glaze stained glass window using NO Days Glaze, we recommend ventilation to allow for consistent air flow and prevent continuous heating of the space between the protective outside glass and inside glass panels. Failure to properly ventilate your window may result in a "greenhouse effect" thus raising the temperature of the enclosed space containing the stained glass window. Ventilation is recommended to control the temperature of the space inside a triple glaze window design. Ventilation of a triple glaze window is an industry standard building technique and ensures longevity of your triple glaze stained glass window.
