Tool Required:  Standard Heat Gun, Embossing Heat Tool, Craft Iron, Household Iron, Soldering Iron or Hair Dryer(See note 1 below)

Glue Film is a superior alternative to messy and inconsistent glue guns as well as liquid or cement adhesives.  Glue Film provides a uniform strong bond with a clean approach and allows you the capability to form your pad to your specific outline.

Glue Film is activated by using a heat gun at a temperature of 160 F / 71 C.  Cure time is relatively instant as the material begins to cure as it drops below 160 F / 71 C.

Step 1:  Cut your Glue Film sheet to match your desired bonding outline using scissors, razor blade, shape punches, paper cutter, or hole punch.

Step 2:  Place your cut Glue Film pad on your desired bonding area.

Step 3:  Use a heat gun, craft iron, embossing heat tool, household iron, soldering iron or hair dryer to heat your Glue Film.  Please refer to Method A and Method B below to determine what Glue Film setup will best fit your requirements.

A key advantage of Glue Film is in its ability to be re-positioned.  Just simply re-heat and remove your object.

Method A:

Apply heat either through or around the object (Surface A) as shown below (thermal induction).  Surface A materials can include metal, wood, glass, ceramics, chipboard, and paper products.  Surface A should be materials that can withstand heat transfer without being damaged by the heat.  If your “Surface A” material cannot withstand heat transfer, then proceed to Method B.

Method B:

Apply heat directly to or around your Glue Film pad and then apply Surface A. Surface A materials can include plastics and ceramics.

Tacking your Glue Film pad with a soldering iron can be a helpful way to setup or determine placement.

Note 1:  Hair dryers are regulated by design and some hair dryers may not be able to apply Glue Film at 160 F / 71 C.
