Glue Foil is so versatile!
Print Project Instructions
Supplies:
12” x 12” piece of Glue Foil in Copper
Adirondack Acrylic Dabber in Pitch Black – Ranger Industries
Malma mirror – Ikea
Craft Iron
Hot pad
Craft Knife
Hammer
Instructions:
- Remove the mirror from the frame by using a heat gun or craft knife to loosen the glue.
- Center the Glue Foil over the front of the mirror frame.
- With the craft iron set to “High”, simply iron the Glue Foil to the front of the frame. It’s so simple!
- Once the front has cooled, miter the excess Glue Foil at the corners of the frame and wrap the excess foil around the edges of the frame. Iron the Glue Foil in place along the edges. Cut four ½” x 10” strips of Glue Film and use these to iron the leather to the sides of the frame.
- Use the craft knife to cut an “X” in the mirror opening, then wrap the Glue Foil around the opening edges and iron into place.
- Once the mirror has cooled, use the hammer to “distress” the foil.
- Rub the black acrylic paint into the dents and dings in the foil, then wipe off with a paper towel.
- Replace the mirror using a few thin strips of the Glue Film and a heat gun.
