Add some vintage charm to your kitchen with this adorable wall hanging.  GlueFilmTM makes it easy to attach all sorts of fun embellishments!

Instructions:

  1. Paint the chipboards swirl with the Pitch Black crackle paint and set aside to dry.
  2. Cut a 5” x 6” piece of Glue Film and a 5” x 6” piece of the recipe-patterned paper.  Sandwich the GlueFilm between the recipe paper and the matboard, and use the craft iron to iron the paper to the matboard.  Trim the excess paper away with a craft knife.
  3. Rub the edges of the matboard with the Fired Brick inkpad.
  4. Punch holes in the top corners of the board using the hole punch, and use the setter to set the eyelets in the holes.
  5. Use the Threading Water border punch to create a decorative border along one edge of the black cardstock.
  6. Cut a ¼” x 6” piece of Glue Film, and use it to adhere the black cardstock along the lower edge of the board with the craft iron.
  7. Cut the vintage girl, a label, and the gingham ribbon from the Cotton scraps sheet.  For each one, cut a piece of GlueFilm slightly smaller.
  8. Use the craft iron and the GlueFilm; iron the girl onto the center of the board and the gingham scrap along the lower edge of the board, slightly overlapping the black cardstock border.
  9. Use the Black Diamond Stickles to outline the image, and set aside to dry.
  10. After the Stickles is dry, iron the food label to the board using the iron and some GlueFilm.
  11. Use the hole punch to punch out seven small circles of GlueFilm from the sheet.  Place these onto the board under the girl’s image, then place the metal letters that spell “the cook” on top of the GlueFilm circles.  Use the tip of the iron to heat up the letters and melt the GlueFilm.
  12. Cut eight squares of the GlueFilm, slightly smaller than the vintage game tiles.  Place two squares of the film on the board where a letter tile will be positioned, then place the tile on top of the film squares.  Heat the tiles with the heat gun until the GlueFilm melts.
  13. Cut a few small pieces of the GlueFilm, lay them on the back of the chipboard swirl, then melt them with the heat gun. Quickly flip the chipboard over and place it in position on the board while the glue is still hot.
  14. Cut pieces of GlueFilm slightly smaller than the vintage buttons and then place the buttons and GlueFilm on the boards.  Heat the buttons with the heatgun until the GlueFilm melts and adheres them in place.
  15. To make the hanger, use the WireTwister to twist together the colored wires.  Thread the ends of the twisted wire through the eyelet holes, then loop to secure.
  16. Tie two 6” lengths of ribbon onto the wire.
