Adirondack Acrylic Dabber in Pitch Black – Ranger Industries
Malma mirror – Ikea
Chipboard bird and letters
Black Marker
Craft iron
Craft Knife
Heat gun
Instructions:
- Use the heat gun or craft knife to remove the mirror from the frame.
- Paint the chipboard letters and the inside and outside edges of the frame with the black acrylic paint and set aside to dry.
- While the mirror is drying, cut out a piece of Glue Film the same shape as the chipboard bird. You can use a pen to trace the pattern directly onto the Glue Film!
- Cut a piece of scrapbook paper slightly larger than the bird, then sandwich the Glue Film between the paper and the chipboard bird. With the craft iron set to “Medium”, simply iron the paper onto the bird. It’s so simple!
- Flip the bird over and trim the excess paper away with the craft knife.
- Cut four 3” x 7’ pieces of Glue Film. Arrange the Glue Film so that it is covering the entire front of the frame, and then center a 12” x 12” piece of paper over top of it.
- With the craft iron set to “Medium”, simply iron the paper to the front of the frame.
- Flip the frame over and use the X-Acto knife to trim the excess paper from the sides of the frame and the mirror opening.
- Use smaller pieces of the Glue Film to iron the letters and the bird directly to the front of the frame.
- Use a black marker to draw on the bird’s “eye”.
